Sports Stars
The Sports Stars program is designed to recognize and celebrate a Member school's well-rounded athletic program, its participation in the Varsity program and PN Core Program Events as well as other applicable SSNL programs. It aims to recognize the efforts of schools in providing SSNL programs that enhance and promote their students and school.
Annual Awards
Each year, we invite you to shine a spotlight on the coaches, volunteers, and student-athletes whose dedication, spirit, and achievements help School Sports NL thrive in your community. Applications are due June 1st of each year and successful recipients receive their awards at their school's sports banquet.

Scholar Athletes
SSNL is proud to recognize student-athletes for their academic and athletic achievements!​
Each year, students who meet the criteria will be awarded a commemorative Scholar Athlete Certificate. Those who earn this distinction for all three high school years will receive a special Graduating Scholar Athlete Pin!​

This program is open to student athletes in grade 10, 11 & 12, in the academic school stream that have participated in SSNL sanctioned sports. Scholar Athlete request forms must be received by the SSNL office at least 10 days prior to presentation date.
Sportsmanship Medals
At the end of each school year, SSNL provides two School Sportsmanship Awards per member school to be awarded to 2 student-athletes that have displayed exemplary sportsmanship qualities throughout the year in SSNL sports. We provide the hardware, your school decides on the deserving students.
Please note: These medals are distributed to schools by the end of May each year. If for some reason you do not receive your medals OR if you need your medals earlier to accommodate an Athletic Banquet, please reach out to our office.
