It’s that time of year when we hand the spotlight over to you — to help us recognize the dedicated individuals who make School Sports NL thrive in your school community.
Whether it’s the coach who goes above and beyond, the volunteer who’s always ready to lend a hand, or the student-athlete who consistently impresses with their commitment and achievements — we want to hear about them!
Let’s celebrate the people who make school sports something truly special.

Scholar Athlete Award
- Awarded to all eligible student-athletes
- Recognizes student-athletes who have achieved both academic & athletic success
- Student-athletes receive a commemorative Scholar Athlete Certificate.
- Three-peat Scholar Athlete recipients also awarded special graduating Scholar Athlete Pin.

Brother G.I. Moore Student Athlete of the Year Awards
- Awarded to one Male and one Female student-athlete for each classification (A/2A/3A/4A)
- Recognizes student-athletes who uphold the ideals of sportsmanship and demonstrate well-rounded athletic proficiency, and excellence in their high school sports career
- Recipients each receive $500 Scholarship

Student Athletic Program Volunteer of the Year
- Awarded to one Male and one Female student-volunteer
- Recognizes those who have played a vital role in supporting SSNL athletic programs in their school.
- Recipients each receive $500 Scholarship

PN Champion Award:
- Awarded to one individual in each of the four NL Schools regions and one from the CSFP TNL.
- Recognizes those who have played a vital role in growing the PN programs within their school and/or - neighbouring schools

PN Ambassador Award:
- Awarded to individuals with long history of involvement in SSNL Participation Nation
- Recognizes outstanding achievements by facilitators who have greatly contributed to the development and success of PN within their school and/or neighbouring schools
- Facilitators who have worked within Participation Nation for 10+ years automatically eligible

Varsity Regional Recognition Award:
- Awarded to one individual from each of SSNL's 11 Varsity Regions
- Recipient has made a significant contribution to SSNL Varsity school sport over 5+ years OR have made a - single outstanding contribution.
- Recipient could be a coach, convenor, official or administrator

Varsity Coaching Service Award:
- Awarded to Coaches with long history of involvement in SSNL Varsity
- Recognizes Coaches who have a strong developmental program in their school, and has demonstrated a strong commitment to the total development of the student-athletes in his/her program.
- Coaches who have coached SSNL for 25+ years automatically eligible
